Terms of Use
The rules for this website. The game has its own, and they live on Steam.
Last updated 7 September 2026
The short version
This is a promotional website for a game in development. Nothing is sold here and no account is created here.
Everything about buying, refunding, installing and playing Pyxole is governed by Steam's agreements with you, not by this page.
Read the site, share it, quote it. Do not pass our artwork off as your own and do not try to break the site.
Agreeing to these terms
Using pyxole.com means accepting what is on this page. If you do not accept it, the remedy is simple and costs nothing: close the tab.
These terms cover the website only. They are not the game's end user licence agreement, and they do not replace anything Valve or Discord has asked you to agree to.
Who we are
We are the team building Pyxole, a 2D pixel-art social sandbox game for PC. This site is our marketing page and public changelog.
The way to reach us is our Discord server or the community hub on our Steam page.
Using this website
You may read anything here, link to any page, quote it with attribution, and share it anywhere. What you may not do:
- Attack the site, or try to gain access to anything not published on it.
- Scrape it in a way that degrades it for other people, or attempt to overwhelm it.
- Present its pages, in whole or in part, as your own site or as an official Pyxole channel.
- Use it to do anything unlawful where you are, or where we are.
There is no account to suspend, so the only enforcement available to us is a block at the network layer, and we would rather never use it.
Nothing is sold on this site
There is no checkout here, no price, no cart and no payment form. Every Wishlist on Steam button is an outbound link to Valve's store.
So there is nothing for us to refund. If you buy Pyxole once it is released, the purchase is a transaction between you and Valve, and Valve's refund policy is the one that applies to it. At the time of writing that policy allows a refund request within fourteen days of purchase with under two hours of playtime, but Valve sets those terms and can change them, so read the current version on the Steam store before relying on it.
If a future build of this site ever does sell something directly, it will carry its own refund policy on the page where the price is, before you pay.
Our content
The Pyxole name, logo, artwork, pixel typeface, page copy, screenshots and the code of this site belong to us or are licensed to us.
You may quote a reasonable extract for news coverage, a review, a video or a discussion, with a credit and a link back. You may use our logo and screenshots in coverage of the game. You may not use them on merchandise, in a way that implies we endorse something, or as part of another game's assets.
The word Steam, the Steam logo, Discord and every other platform name on this site belong to their respective owners and appear here as references, not as claims.
Content you make in the game
Characters, worlds and collections you draw in Pyxole are yours. Publishing them to the Steam Workshop puts them under the Steam Subscriber Agreement and the Workshop terms you accept there, which set out what Valve and other players may do with them.
Nothing on this website takes any right in anything you make. If that ever changes, it changes in the game's own terms, in plain language, before you upload anything.
What we promise about the site, and what we do not
The site is provided as it is. We keep it up and correct mistakes when we find them, but we do not promise it will be reachable at every moment, free of every error, or compatible with every browser.
Everything here about the game is a description of work in progress. Features shown, described or shipped in the changelog may change, be delayed or be cut before release, and no release date is promised until one is announced on the Steam page.
Links to other sites are offered for convenience. We are not responsible for what those sites do.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website, such as lost profit, lost data or lost time.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Where you deal with us as a consumer, your statutory rights stand whatever this page says.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon, and the courts of Beirut have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
If you are a consumer somewhere else, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, and it does not stop you bringing a claim in your own local courts where that law gives you the right.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and continuing to use the site after that is acceptance of the new version. A material change is announced on Discord.
If any clause here turns out to be unenforceable, the rest of the page still stands.
